Çalışma alanına ait mevcut hava fotoğrafları ve ortofoto ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiştir. Samsun ilinde kıyısal bölgede dolgu alanı miktarı, yılları arasında İlde yılından yılına kadar yapılan dolgu miktarı toplamda 2. Sonuç olarak, Samsun il merkezinde kıyı bölgesinde dolgu yapılarak oldukça önemli miktarda değişimler olduğu görülmüştür.
