Good food and drink options and close to tram in case you wanted to head into the city centre. Breakfast was also the best one we have had so far on our journey. Would most definitely consider this hotel again. ClioCal We stayed here for 4 nights and the fire alarm went off twice! Once at midnight while we were asleep, the second time during the day. On both occasions there was absolutely no communication or evacuation procedure followed by the hotel staff which was a bit disappointing, not to mention unsafe… We evacuated the hotel along with some other guests at the hotel but not one member of staff directed us or came outside to tell us it was safe to come back. Another guest had to go inside and ask at reception if we could come back inside! Fire drills and unexpected circumstances are understandable, but you would expect some form of communication from the staff to guests, which unfortunately we did not receive on either occasion. The room was clean and modern enough. We received daily towel changes and room clean which was hugely appreciated. The mini fridge was also restocked which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel is nicely situated with a tram stop directly outside takes about 15mins into the centre. The pool is quite deep, so be careful with children. The ladder to enter the pool is basically coming out of the tiles. I can see someone falling off this and injuring themselves. All in all, the stay was fine and we were happy with our room for the 4 nights. I would not classify this hotel as 4 star however- 3 star at best. The customer service just needs some improvements. Cat We stayed here for 3 nights in a family interconnecting room. Check in was good and reception staff generally helpful. Although nothing plush, the rooms were spacious, clean and the beds comfortable with a nice view of the Lac. Breakfast was just okay - not what Casino Barriere Bordeaux would typically expect at a four star hotel for selection and service. The bar area is very nice and the kids enjoyed the pool table.
